The Meaning of Śrī Vyāsa-pūjā
Sanyasis

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my unlimited obeisances in the dust of your saṅkīrtana feet.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

Amazing, another appearance day celebration and opportunity reminder is at hand to honor and thank the Lord for sending His pure devotee to deliver us and encourage to do the same.

As the history goes by we observe change, evolution, and devolution of civilizations, governments, leaders, and sadly even spiritual representatives. In ISKCON amidst the external currents of time, the internal structure and surrounding personalities adjust; the purely dedicated with increasing spiritual realization while others disempower due to karmic reorientation.

However, you Guru Maharaj, have weathered the storms providing an example of unwavering solidarity as you follow Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions, not catering to ‘change’ as desired by the moderns of malleable mindsets and unsure footing.

Just see the power of your chastity to the mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda, freeing you from any rāga and dveṣa that manifests in those of personal motivation and ‘I and Mine’ identification. From the days of construction purchases, Indian citizenship, nama-hatta preaching, swimming, wrestling, initiations, GBC management, kīrtanas, Navadvīpa Maṇḍala Parikramas, safaris, pandal programs, plane travel, one to one personal counseling, devotee care, deity installations, temple construction, book distribution, powering within a physical handicap like no other, and maintaining and preserving Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mood; you have demonstrated an inconceivable ability as a father figure and accommodator of all.

You have imbibed this unique gift from Śrīla Prabhupāda, to unite opposites. Please allow me to also serve you in this way in the spreading of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Please empower me to go beyond the externals of narrow mindedness and engage all with respect to the Will of the Lord, not personal limitation.

Best Wishes,

Your aspiring servant,
Bhaktisiddhānta Swami

Dear Śrī Gurudeva :

Please accept my (and my family) most humble obeisances unto your lotus feet!

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupäda!

All glories to your auspicious Vyäsa-püjä!

Dear Gurudeva! I have been in the dark ignorance birth after birth, by the mercy of devotees and Kåñëa, I am an ignorant fallen soul, luckily took shelter under your lotus feet, under your full protection. After that, I have no fear, insecurity and anxiety. You gave me the spiritual life and understanding of spiritual knowledge. Let me have the opportunity to engage devotional service, Thanksgiving all of your teachings, you lift a beacon on the dark road guiding me forward. For the well-being of conditioned souls, you accepted a lot of austerity, constantly in preaching to awaken the sleeping souls.

Your disciples and devotees always glory your humility, austerity and kind virtue which can be witnessed and felt in your association with the devotees. In this sacred day, I pray to Lord Çré Kåñëa, Lord Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu, Lord Çré Narasiàha for your health. If my wish comes true, then there will be more and more people getting your encouragement, I also pray that we can unite and cooperation to serve you no offensively, to serve you as you wish, I pray if you allow me (and my family) become qualified, Please let us have the qualifications to distribute your mercy! Distribute your mercy!

Your insignificant sheltered disciple,
Kṛṣṇa Dharma Dāsa,

Dearest Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda. All glories to your glorious service to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

I am your unqualified daughter. I absolutely do not have any knowledge or qualification to even understand your greatness, what to speak of glorifying you. However, with your mercy only, for my own purification, I should speak a few words. I want everyone know how merciful you have been to this insignificant soul - how you have brought me to the lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda and given me a chance to associate with wonderful devotees. I would like to start by quoting a verse from Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (1.1.15) which is very relevant to my journey.

“O Sūta, those great sages who have completely taken shelter of the lotus feet of the Lord can at once sanctify those who come in touch with them, whereas the waters of the Ganges can sanctify only after prolonged use.”

In a similar note, Narottama Dāsā Ṭhākura sings,

yāhāra nikaṭe gele pāpa dūre jāy
emana doyāla prabhu kebā kothā pāy?
gaṅgāra paraśa hoile paścāte pāvana
darśane pavitra koro ei tomāra guṇa

“Where does anyone find such a merciful personality by whose mere audience all sins go far away? After bathing in the waters of the sacred Ganges many times, one becomes purified, but just by the sight of you, the fallen souls are purified. This is your great power.”

Yes, I was saved by your mere sight. By simply glancing at me, you have brought a fallen soul like me to Kṛṣṇa consciousness. It was July 9, 2003, when I had the greatest fortune to have your darsana and immediately my heart changed. Exactly a year earlier in 2002, I and my sister landed up in a Ratha-yātrā in Dhaka. We did not have any clue what a Ratha-yātrā is, who Jagannātha, Baladeva and Subhadrā Devī are. However, we liked the festival so much that we decided to come next year. During this one year, we did not have any connection with the temple or the devotees or any preaching program. We just read something about ISKCON in the internet and skimmed through a couple of books. So, in 2003, we went to the Ratha-yātrā and got to know that 8 days later, there is another festival called return Ratha-yātrā. We decided to join that festival too. Little did we know what was waiting for us!

Out of your causeless mercy, you used to visit return Ratha Yātrā in Dhaka each and every year. However, we did not know anything about you or your magnitude. When they announced your arrival as the chief guest of the program, we saw a very effulgent man draped in bright saffron dress and wearing many flower garlands walking to the stage surrounded by numerous devotees. We were awestruck! You appeared to us like a King or a demigod, who is surrounded by his associates. I and my sister were discussing, “Who is this brilliant man? Where did you appear from?” When you started giving your lecture, you did the mangala caranam first, “oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya…” We were even more surprised; we never heard maṅgalā caraṇam before, what to speak of from a western bodied sādhu. Then, you started speaking, and to our surprise in pure Bengali, “Uposhit bhodro mohila and bhodro mohodhoygon…” Though we were just kids and didn’t understand much, we listened to your lecture in complete wonder! The whole place was cramped with thousands of people and we were trying hard to have a proper glimpse of yours. You suddenly glanced upon me and smiled. Immediately something happened inside me.

After your lecture got over, I told my sister, “Monika, let’s become devotees.” Since we never had any devotee association or properly exposed to Vaiñṇava philosophy, we didn’t even know what a devotee means. We only knew that someone who follows four regulative principles is a devotee. I told her, “We already follow three regulative principles, let’s just give up meat eating.” From the very day, July 9, 2003, we completely gave up meat eating without any difficulty at all. Then, we started going to the temple regularly, met the wonderful devotees and learned the philosophy. It is you Guru Mahārāja who just by glancing upon this pour soul saved me from drowning in the material world. I would like to quote the famous verse from Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛita (Madhya 22.54)

‘sādhu-saṅga’, ‘sādhu-saṅga’ — sarva-çāstre kaya
lava-mātra sādhu-saṅge sarva-siddhi haya

“The verdict of all revealed scriptures is that by even a moment’s association with a pure devotee, one can attain all success”

Prabhupāda gave a one-line purport to this verse, “According to astronomical calculations, a ‘lava’ is one eleventh of a second.”

Yes, by one eleventh of a second, you changed me and many others!

People who know the culture of Bengal would know how attached most people are to demigod worship and how difficult it is to convince them about Kṛṣṇa’s supreme potency. However, you have made that impossible possible. Just like me, so many hundreds and thousands of people became devotees just by seeing you once. Personally, I know a quite few. Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛita further mentions (Madhya 24.97)

ādhu-saṅga-kṛpā kimvā kṛṣṇera kṛpāya
kāmādi ‘duḥsaṅga’ chāḍi’ śuddha-bhakti pāya

“One is elevated to the platform of devotional life by the mercy of a Vaiñṇava, the bona fide spiritual master, and by the special mercy of Kṛṣṇa. On that platform, one gives up all material desires and the association of unwanted people. Thus, one is elevated to the platform of pure devotional service.”

Kṛṣṇa is the most merciful; however, devotees are more merciful than the Lord. That’s why Nityānanda Prabhu was more merciful than Mahāprabhu. He delivered personalities like Jagāi and Mādhāi, who didn’t have any chance of Mahāprabhu’s association. Śrīla Prabhuada is even more merciful because he delivered hundreds of Jagāi Mādhāi. You are his true disciple and got his full blessings. You have travelled all the nooks and corners of the world to bestow your mercy upon thousands of Jagāi Mādhāi. You have given up your youth, risked your health to travel to all the remote villages of Bangladesh and India, dangerous places like Russia and Middle East, and all over the world and transformed thousands of people. Who in this present world is as merciful as you? There is no one! Absolutely no one!

I offer my humble obeisances to your lotus feet again and again. Please bless me so that I can always be attached to you and Śrīla Prabhupāda. Please make me an instrument in your service to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Your unqualified daughter,

My dear Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances!
All Glories to Śrī Śrī Gaura Nitāi!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

All glories to Your Grace!

Please allow me express my love to you in this very special day. I had been your sheltered disciples for many years, but I do is really too little especially after giving birth to a childbirth is worse to the point, I always make an excuse which I must take care of the children and not associate with devotees. As my son grows up day by day, I thought I had brought him to this world. I already learned about the knowledge of soul, so I should not let him waste his life, I should perform my duty as a mother and as a qualified disciple. I should not let my son waste every day when I accompany him to his growing up. With the supervision of the devotees and my son. I began my spiritual life.I study scrip¬tures, do much service and associate with devo¬tees. At the beginning of my spiritual life.I didn’t work very hard sometimes my mind was running around (I did not chanting, not offer food but no desire of tongue). After I took my son to attend association several times, he would remind my practice. I know this reminder is from guru, Kåñëa and supersoul. Use my son this tool to remind me. Every day when I give him food. He always ask: “prasäda?” In the beginning, I’ve been looking for excuses for my laziness a few times and later when I was cooking. he will come to help me preparing the offer dishes, my house is not large.we have not altar, all worship things were put in different cabinets. I sometimes feel too much troublesome I didn’t offer the food. It was he who made me get used to offer food. Thank for the kindness of Gurudeva and Kåñëa, you still remember me this fallen soul. Sent a devotee who is so strict to supervise me.

In this auspicious day I pray you can give me mercy when I encountered some problems in life (my husband is not a devotee, he has not desire to become a devotee. He eating meat, drinking and smoking, but now I am not able to guide him to become a devotee). Gurudeva, please give me guidance when I am in difficulty, please give me the confidence so I can firmly go straight on the road of spiritual, and ultimately achieve perfection.

I am working towards the goal of this year’s initiation, and I hope you will give me mercy, let me realize my desire to initiate. I’ll go with my son, and I hope you can give him a spiritual name. Thank you for the mercy of Gurudeva.

Wishing you the best of health.

Dear Spiritual Father,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda! All glories to you.

I am NO MORE in anxiety,
because you are there for me.
I am NO MORE in fear,
because you are protecting me.
I am NO MORE in ignorance, because you are guiding me.
I am NO MORE weak,
because YOU ARE MY STRENGTH
I am NO MORE dumb, because IT IS YOU WHO PREACH THROUGH ME.
I am NO MORE alone,
because I am under your vigilant sight.
I am NO MORE mine,
because I am your instrument.

My prayer to you dear Guru Mahārāja, is, please let me grow exponentially knowledge wise and get realizations to preach MORE AND MORE ALL OVER THIS EARTH AND BEYOND LIMITLESSLY.

I HAVE NOTICED BY YOUR MERCY THAT NOTHING IS IMPRACTICAL IF YOU CAST YOUR CAUSELESS MERCY ON ME.

I WANTED TO SIT AT HOME AND SERVE MY FAMILY BUT AT THE SAME TIME PREACH TO THE ENTIRE WORLD. TO MY SURPRISE, BY YOUR MERCY DEAR GURU MAHĀRĀJA, ISKCON DESIRE TREE DEVOTEES are coming to my home and shooting videos that are getting uploaded on the net and so it IS INDEED REACHING ENTIRE WORLD THROUGH WORLD WIDE WEB, though I am sitting at home and taking care of my family!

Now my prayer is, make me very pure so that you can FULLY EMPOWER ME and use me unlimitedly in fulfilling your mission of serving Śrīla Prabhupāda.

LET MY TIME NOT GET WASTED. LET MY EVERY MOMENT BE SPENT SO WONDERFULLY THAT BY YOUR BLESSING LET KṚṢṆA GET TEMPTED TO COME TO SEE ME.

I’m very sorry dear Guru Mahārāja for asking you big big things but I DONT WANT TO BE FOOLISH AND ASK FOR SMALL THINGS WHEN I COME TO THE KING OF KINGS.

PLEASE BLESS my daughter Bhakti who has preached for last 2 years in her School a lot to be YOUR WONDERFUL INSTRUMENT.

PLEASE BLESS THE ENTIRE WORLD TO BE KṚṢṆA CONSCIOUS AND BLESS MY HUSBAND TOO. Sorry Guru Mahārāja, when I ask blessings for me, how can I leave the world which is actually filled with very wonderful and may be more qualified people who deserve your mercy more than me..

Your servant,
Amṛta Mādhavī Devī Dāsī

Hare Kṛṣṇa,

All Glories to you Śrīla Prabhupāda!!

All Glories to you Śrīla Gurudeva!!

O dear Guru Mahārāja, I’m proud to be under your care. You give me a feeling of security by reciprocating to my prayers. You forgive my anarthas, You make me realize my anarthas and You give me opportunities to correct my anarthas. I thank Gaurāṅga who has gifted us with such a merciful Guru who teaches us what Faith means, what Humility means and what Determination means by His mind, words and actions. Bless this worthless and useless fallen soul to be of some use at Your Lotus Feet.

Your Servant,
Añjana JK

Dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances.

By your mercy, my life changed and filled with happiness. I don’t know how I will thank you. I got the inspiration from you that in spite of many challenges, ups and downs in life, which as it comes, we should not forget Kṛṣṇa. Due to some physical problem, I am not keeping well, but seeing your health, I am thinking that my problem is insignificant.

Dear Gurudeva, in spite of all challenges you are busy to deliver the fallen souls like us. Neither you feel tired nor do you stop.

Lastly I pray you to give me a drop of mercy so that I will try to communicate the message of Mahāprabhu to some families and be a part of your mission.

Your Spiritual daughter,
Bhaktimayī Subhadrā Devī Dāsī

My dear most, merciful worshipable Eternal Spiritual Master,

Please accept our humble respectable obedient obeisances daṇḍavat praṇāma to Guru Mahārāja’s lotus feet.

Śrī Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga kī Jai!

Śrīla Prabhupāda kī Jai

We, The hare Kṛṣṇa Sat-saṅgam, Talap, Kannur-2, Kerala is taking this opportunity to wish and pray long live boom from Lord Kṛṣṇa and Gaura Nitāi to protect our beloved Spiritual Master, Gurudeva, in this 68th Vyāsa-pūjā 2017 celebrations.

We pray with our heart and soul to Śrī Śrī Pañca-tatva, Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava Aṣṭa Sakhī, Śrī Śrī Narasiṁhadeva, Śrī Śrī Jagannātha, Baladeva and Subhadrā Mahārāṇī to protect and strengthen from Guru Mahārāja’s illness and enemies.

With a small Hare Kṛṣṇa Sat-saṅgam (Nāmahaṭṭa) at Kannur, Talap city, we are doing everyday temple activities. Most of the days two or three devotees staying in this centre do the sevā for our Gaura Nitāi Bhagavān. Special occasions also devotees gather and do devotional activities upto our standards. Now this centre is in a rented property. Financially we are very poor. But some of the efficient good hearted devotees donating and our book distribution also we make Lakṣmī for the temple daily routine expenses. 99% of these nāmahaṭṭa devotees are labour class people. They run auto-rikshaw, building works, carpenters, electrical and plumber job workers. Still we have a good reputation from whole Kerala. That because of our heartest respect to our beloved Guru Mahārāja’s mercy only. Otherwise we are zero.

We have a good range of books in our hand. Every Sunday we distribute Śrīla Prabhupāda books. Back to Godhead Magazine in Malayalam language called Bhagavad–darśanam- every month we are buying from Coimbatore 200 copies. Every Sunday devotees taking some books and selling in their community. Some mātājī devotees like Śyāma Rādhikā Devī Dāsī and Rājā Śrī Satyabhāmā Devī Dāsī and Śrīmatī Śrīkalā Mātājī also taken keen interest in book distribution. Other than any temple festival going nearby we have devotees to take some books and try to distribute it widely.

We had a vision and plan to make more devotees. So that is our main goal and try to join them our Guru Mahārāja’s army. We always try to communicate with His Holiness Bhakti Vinoda Swami for any doubts and help. Mahārāja is always welcome assist and happy with our activities.

This year we are planning to buy one second hand minibus to distribute Śrīla Prabhupāda books widely. Other plan is to open an exclusively Hare Kṛṣṇa restaurant in the Kannur city. Our most devotees needed that one. Because of working class people getting Kṛṣṇa prasādam is very difficult. February 2017 onwards we are distributing atleast 10 Kṛṣṇa prasādam packets on Sunday noon to orphans and needy beggars in the Kannur city. Before we give the prasādam definitely we are telling them and together we do Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā mantra japa atleast 3 times.

All these things to work, first we need to get Guru Mahārāja’s merciful blessings to all of our devotees working behind this project. May Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Śrīla Prabhupāda always protect our Guru Mahārāja.

Guru Mahārāja’s humble, obedient servant,

Rākhāla Rāja Kanhaiyā Dāsā - With my heart and soul for the well beings of every living entity that Jayapatākā (flag) always blow like a tsunami to give Dīkṣā mercy and take everybody back home back to godhead.

Gurudeva,

Kindly accept my respectful obeisance.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda

All glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga

Your untiring preaching endeavor and unconditional distribution of mercy to devotees and future devotees is simply beyond imagination. Your determination to please Śrīla Prabhupāda, Guru Paramparā and Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu against all odd as it is an immense inspiration for me. I pray that I imbibe at least a fraction of Your mood to please You and Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Śrīla Prabhupāda write in Purport to Bhagavad-Gītā 9.29 “A person who is thus always engaged in the service of the Lord or is always thinking and planning how to serve the Lord is to be considered completely liberated at present, and in the future is going back home, back to Godhead, is guaranteed”. I don’t know what devotional service is, what will please Lord Kṛṣṇa. But Gurudeva, You have very mercifully ordered the devotees of Bengaluru to make “Bengaluru the first Kṛṣṇa Conscious city”, “preach united” and “make more devotees, happy devotees”. These instructions of Yours have given meaning to my life. I beg and pray that my heart always be fixed on Your transcendental instructions. Even an attempt to the extent of a squirrel to please You can make my life successful.

Māyā is very powerful and I am constantly being beaten by the whips of Māyā. I beg and pray at Your lotus feet that my mind be fixed on executing Your instructions and not think of anything else. May my power to think and strength to function and all other faculties be completely used in your divine service.

Your unworthy servant,
Harikṣetra Dāsā

Hare Kṛṣṇa Guru Mahārāja, Daṇḍavats prāṇāṁs.

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Thank you very much Guru Mahārāja for giving me initiation. You are very merciful that you accepted me as your disciple.

Guru Mahārāja, during initiation interview, I got the answer which I have to learn. I felt like you answered through that prabhuji. It was wonderful experience.

I am only the follower of Kṛṣṇa Conscious pass 11yrs.(seriously)but I have met you in 1991 in Coimbatore. Because of your mercy I came to ISKCON. Guru Mahārāja after 25yrs I got initiation. My husband, kids are very supportive. Please bless them to become devotees. I have habit of writing letters to you Guru Mahārāja in my dairy only but the prayers I wrote in the dairy were answered by you and my problem is getting solved, it is amazing Guru Mahārāja.

After initiation, I feel that whatever problem comes, immediately I think of you that my spiritual father is there to take care of me. Immediately I take my diary and I start writing letter to you. My mind becomes very light. Next day I will be fine and I see that problems are getting solved. Thank you so much Guru Mahārāja for your love and care. Please bless us to follow at your lotus feet. To be good humble servant of you forever. Please bless us that always to be in association of devotees.

Yours humble servant,
Hariṇī Sevikā Devī Dāsī

Please accept my most respectful obeisances.

All Glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

All Glories to you Śrīla Gurudeva!

Hare Kṛṣṇa Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet!

When you had come to Bangalore just recently I got your blessings and an opportunity to serve you. I was very happy as I wanted to take your darśana since many days and with Gaurāṅga’s mercy that happened. With Gaurāṅga and Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mercy I’m trying to preach but if your blessings are there then I am sure I can preach even better. I feel very sad for people who aren’t in Kṛṣṇa consciousness because I also used to waste my time before like them, but with a Vaiṣṇava’s mercy I’ve got the opportunity to serve guru and Gaurāṅga. I wish to preach and bring everyone to Kṛṣṇa consciousness, so that they also can serve guru and Gaurāṅga and attain the ultimate goal. I’m trying my best but without your blessings nothing can happen, so please bless me that I can preach well and make people get interested in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. I’m not so capable that I can make someone a devotee because I myself am such a fallen soul. But you are a pure devotee, only by your blessings we can do something. Please bless me so I can preach well. The way you’ve surrendered yourself to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission is very inspiring. Please bless me that I can also use my strength and knowledge to serve you.

My husband Īśvara Parama Kṛṣṇa Dāsa supports me in preaching and rendering service to Lord Jagannātha. I have 2 kids, a son (Suraj) and a daughter (Sunaina). My daughter also follows the ISKCON process for advancing in Kṛṣṇa consciousness and helps me in serving the Lordships in our house. She wishes to take your shelter soon. Whereas my son who’s doing higher studies in Delhi chants one round everyday but hasn’t developed taste for Kṛṣṇa conscious just yet. He has had your darśana quite a few times and taken your blessings. I always pray that he also serves guru and Gaurāṅga and this can happen only by your blessings, so please bless him.

Also, I always pray to Narasiṁhadeva everyday for your well-being.

Your servant,
Īśānī Rukmiṇī Devī Dāsī

My dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most respectful obeisances.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda and Guru Paramparā.

We are eternally indebted to you for having accepted, the fallen souls like us as your disciple and taken such a big responsibility of purifying us. Guru Mahārāja, by your blessings, we are on the right path to progress in practicing Kṛṣṇa bhakti. We realise that you are our best example of living Bhāgavata to demonstrate the Vaiṣṇava quality of tolerance and compassion. Though we have heard many lectures about tolerance and compassion, from your life style only, we understand that it is practically possible.

Last year I was struggling with my Bhakti-vṛkṣa since the members were not serious & regular. Now by your blessing, we got reasonably good sincere members. By taking care of them, we will also progress.

Guru Mahārāja, by your mercy, we are able to take more responsibility in the path of progressing in bhakti. Kindly bless us with right intelligence to serve you nicely.

Guru Mahārāja, please shower your mercy on us so that we can exhibit our love to you by co-operating with all your servants.

Glorification attempted by your servant of your servants,
Jyotisvara Mādhava Dāsā (Dīkṣā disciple)
Rāseśvarī Padmā Devī Dāsī (Dīkṣā disciple)

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

I’m writing this letter to express my gratitude towards my Guru Mahārāja, for accepting this most fallen soul as your disciple. It would be hard pushed to think of knowing a more friendly, sweet, kind and loving person in my life time than you.

Thank you for coming to Trivandrum and giving us an opportunity to serve you. Even though you having so many health issues, you always take care of others and pray for them. I remember some years before you came to Trivandrum, everyone was sad to see you in this condition and you said to us don’t worry about my physical condition, I’m alright and happy and you also said you will also pray for our spiritual progress. This shows how detached you are from your body and you are our true inspiration and a perfect example of how to follow the instructions of spiritual master.

My prayers to Lord Rādhā Mādhava to improve your health, so that next time when you come Trivandrum we can serve you with your favorite South Indian dishes (idly, sambar and dhosa, chutney). Please keep me at your feet always.

Yours insignificant servant,
Karunāmṛta Caitanya Priyā Devī Dāsī

Dear Gurudeva,

I beg you to accept my most respectful prostrated obeisances at your lotus feet.

Śrīla Gurudeva, on the occasion of your Vyāsa Pūjā this year, I pray to Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Gaura Nitāi and Narasiṁhadeva to protect you and bless you with good health.

Every day we are inspired by hearing about your untiring efforts to preach to everyone you meet and your great enthusiasm to engage everyone in the service of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. But for you we would not have received the mercy of Lord Caitanya and the association of so many devotees to help us continue in this Kṛṣṇa consciousness process.

Through the Bhakti-vṛkṣa course designed and propagated by you and your disciples, we have benefited so much and I continue to see that so many people are becoming devotees and getting your mercy and the mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda, Mahāprabhu and Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa.

Guru Mahārāja, I want to once again convey my sincere gratitude to you for accepting me and my husband, Viśveśvara Govinda Dāsā, as your disciples and giving us the shelter of your lotus feet. Please bless us that we may be steady in our devotional life and continue to be engaged in services to you and the Lord in the association of devotees.

I cannot thank you enough and do not have words to express my gratitude for giving us the association of devotees like Caitanya Avatārī Prabhu, Rasamayī Mātājī, Vaiṣṇavānanda Nitāi Prabhu and all the devotees in our New Rājāpur Jagannātha dhāma, who are very kindly tolerating us and engaging us in your services and providing us all the support.

On the occasion of Your Divine Grace’s Vyāsa Pūjā celebration, I reconfirm my surrender and dedication to serving your lotus feet and pray for your causeless mercy and beg forgiveness for all my offenses.

Your very insignificant disciple,
Līlāmayī Rukmiṇī Devī Dāsī

My Dear Gurudeva,

Please accept our obeisances at Your lotus feet. Wishing You a very happy Vyāsa-pūja. We, with our two children started our Kṛṣṇa conscious life in 2008 and came under Your shelter in 2011. Our daughter has been initiated by You and son is in the line to get Your mercy. From the senior devotees, we have heard, many a times, about the importance of Guru and Vyāsa-pūjā and, came to know how the mercy comes downwards from Kṛṣṇa to us, through Guru-śiṣya paramparā and in the same way our prayer goes upwards to Kṛṣṇa through Guru.

On this auspicious occasion of Vyāsa-pūjā, a letter dated 10.03.1969 of His Divine Grace Śrīla Prabhupāda came to my mind, wherein he had written that “actually we are all conditioned souls, so our demand from Kṛṣṇa to accept us is unreasonable. From my personal point of view, I think that I am so sinful that I cannot even approach Kṛṣṇa to show me any favor. But I have only one hope – my Spiritual Master – He is very kind. So some way or other He is dragging me towards Kṛṣṇa”. This letter touched our heart and gave us an insight into the eternal relationship with you and the fact that it’s only by your mercy that Kṛṣṇa will think of accepting us.

In another case, I had studied that “once Rāmānujācārya asked the famous Raṅganātha deity, “My Lord, what happens if Your devotee cannot remember You at the moment of death?”Lord Raṅganātha replied, “If My devotee cannot remember me at the moment of death then I shall remember My devotee”.

These pastimes enhances our faith in Kṛṣṇa and your good self and also the faith that only by your mercy we can go towards Kṛṣṇa.

By Your mercy we are trying to inspire few devotees & bring them under Your shelter. Please… please… please... shower Your mercy on us.

Yours Spiritual Children,
Madanamohana Mādhava Dāsā,
Anukampita Rādhā Devī Dāsī,
Jyotirmayī Kauśalya Devī Dāsī and Kṛṣṇa

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept our respectful obeisance on to your lotus feet.

I feel myself unqualified to write a offering to you. But I am still doing it, as a disciple must glorify and thank his spiritual master on his Vyāsa-pūjā. Here is our humble attempt.

Guru Mahārāja, You are a great source of inspiration for us in Kṛṣṇa Consciousness. We could see that your eagerness to preach following Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions, are imbibed my many of your disciples. Today we are in this transcendental process and chanting the holy name of Lord Kṛṣṇa because of the association with your disciples. We are eternally thankful to you.

We pray to you that kindly bless us so that we can also be instrumental and contribute to this missionary activity of preaching Kṛṣṇa Consciousness.

Your servant,
Madhusudhana (sheltered)
Sudhā (sheltered)
Deepika (my daughter)

Dear Gurudeva,

My prostrated and respectful obeisances at your lotus feet. I pray to Lord Gaurāṅga, Nityānanda and Kṛṣṇa for your good health, so that you can deliver hundreds and thousands of fallen souls like me.

Gurudeva, it is my desire that I should always have your darśana. For last few months I am passing thorough some mental agony & losing my interest from devotional service. I am not able to attend daily Maṅgala-āratika. Guru Mahārāja, please have mercy on me, so that I can stay calm and have peace of mind to do devotional service.

Wishing the eternal association and mercy of my beloved Gurudeva.

Your insignificant son,
Nīlacala Dhāmeśvara Dāsā

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please Accept My humble obeiscences.

All glories to your divine grace and Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Dear Gurudeva, I am your most unqualified son Nitāichandra Nimāi Das.

Please accept my most humble and respectful humble obeiscences unto your divine lotus feet.

Dear Guru deva last year I tried to follow your order to preach the holy name by your Grace Gurudeva 4 devotees are chanting 16 rounds, taken Guru ashraya and 4 devotees chanting 4 rounds regularly, Gurudeva I pray to your lotus feet to have the strong faith upon your words and do any service for the pleasure of your divine grace, and your pleasure is into bringing the conditioned souls unto the lotus feet of Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga.

Gurudeva please empower us to preach the Holy name of Lord Gaurāṅga wide, so that your divine grace and previous ācāryas would get pleasure.

Your most unqualified servant
Nitāi Candra Nimāi Dāsa

Dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances.

By your mercy, these days I am doing some devotional services daily. Gurudeva, recently you have visited Bangalore, but none of my family came to meet you at your residence. I was not well, as I was hospitalized and had just came out.I was aggrieved and took it to my heart that I am not so fortunate to meet my Gurudev. However, I came to Jagannātha temple, Śeṣādri-puram and from a distance I could see you and your glance towards me.Only that much, but I was feeling somewhat more, as generally the devotees feel. I came back home and started crying more and admonished myself that “you are not fit for the mercy of your Guru”. But senior devotees assured me that simple a glance of Guru is more than enough.I took it to my heart and it happened. From that onwards I felt something special in my heart. My ‘sādhana’ and devotional services are going on well. I am quite happy.

During your transit from Trivandrum to Delhi, my son Sudarśana, who is working in Bangalore Airport, also got a chance to meet you and got your mercy. I felt happy. You have given shelter to my husband at your lotus feet.

Gurudeva, please shower your mercy on my family, so that my entire family can serve you in doing some service to fulfill your mission.

Your daughter,
Paurṇamāsī Sakhī Devī Dāsī

Please accept my most respectful obeisances!

All Glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!

All Glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

All Glories to you, Guru Mahārāja!

On this most auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I am once again reminded of my great fortune to be a small, insignificant part of your Spiritual family. Although I am absolutely unqualified and will continue to remain so, I am able to remain in the association of devotees, simply because of your mercy upon me.

In every walk of life, I shudder to think of what would have become of me, without your mercy. As I precariously deal with māyā’s forces, day-to-day, I’m able to stay afloat only because You are there to catch my fall.

Dearest Guru Mahārāja, thank you for everything. Thank you for your grace, your love and your care. Thank you for letting me take in the shade of your protective umbrella. Thank you Guru Mahārāja - for always being there for me.

I pray to Śrī Śrī Prahlāda Nṛsiṁhadeva to give you the strength to ceaselessly engage in your preaching adventures, and I pray that I may be useful to you in some way.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

This is the first time I am writing a letter to you. First of all, I wish you a very very happy Kṛṣṇa consciousness Vyāsa-pūjā.May you by the mercy of Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Śrī Śrī Pañca-tattva, Narasiṁhadeva and Śrīla Prabhupāda live a thousand of years inspiring and delivering millions of people. I dont know... actually there are no words to express my heartfelt thanks for accepting such a fallen soul like me as your disciple. Thank you Guru Mahārāja Thank you for coming to Trivandrum and opening up a temple for us to serve Śrī Kṛṣṇa Balarāma. May be by your unconditional mercy we could serve them nicely. There is a lot that we have to learn from you Guru MahārājaYour each and every activity has something to learn for us and hoping to learn much more from you Guru Mahārāja, the way you took so much struggles to follow Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions without expecting any recognition in return and still helping him in his mission even in your worst health conditions. I am taking this opportunity to sincerely pray at the lotus feet of Rādhā Mādhava to keep you in good health and keep engaging you in their service birth after birth if any.

Yours insignificant servant,
Ratipradā Revatī Devī Dāsī

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances at the dust of your lotus feet! All glories to Your Divine Grace. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

It’s been 17 years since I first met Your Divine Grace. I was just reflecting the different interactions that I have had the good rare fortune of having with Lord Caitanya’s eternal associate. And as I was reflecting, two things struck me.

One is Your Divine Grace’s position as my Spiritual father. Over the years because of trying to serve you in different ways that Kṛṣṇa has permitted, my relationship with you Guru Mahārāja has deepened and my desire to serve you more and more has also deepened. There are many devotees who I am inspired by in my Kṛṣṇa Consciousness and want to serve them as well with my life and soul but the position of having you as my Spiritual father seems to come from developing a relationship over years of service.

Not only service but your reciprocation! The driving force is the reciprocation that Your Divine Grace still manages to bestow inspite of everything! You never fail to ask about how we are doing in spite of having so many health challenges yourself. And at the same time whenever I inquire about your health Guru Mahārāja, if time permits you also graciously let me into the details of your health though I am not your treating doctor. It surely gives me a feeling of being important though I am most insignificant.

Thank you for accepting to be my Spiritual father.

The second thing that struck me was the change that your body seems to have gone externally after the stroke. Still, 8 years after the stroke and not a single complaint from you Guru Mahārāja What more proof does anyone need to know that you are not your body Guru Mahārāj? This just continues to amaze me. Not just any complaints but full on traveling and continuing to preach about the mercy of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityānanda! So much bliss.

There are no words to describe this transcendental phenomenon.

Please forgive me for my offenses Guru Mahārāja Thank you for giving me shelter at your lotus feet and please bless me to serve and please Your Divine Grace and Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Your insignificant servant
Śiromaṇi Devī Dāsī

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Your Holiness!

On this auspicious day of your divine descent into this world of duplicity, the heart blossoms with thoughts of gratitude to Your lotus feet which have sheltered me for so long despite my inadequacies and enabled me to live amid those souls who are sincerely dedicated to serving Your Holiness.

At the moment, the greatest challenge for me in my Spiritual endeavors is battling loneliness and telling me that those that we wish were ours will not be ours at death; that people who do come together are bound to go their separate ways when it is time to do so. Handling such a challenge becomes much easier because of your merciful presence on the throne of my heart’s innermost alcove. Your two lotus feet are my sustenance. Therefore, on this auspicious and glorious day of your appearance, I implore you to continue to shelter me under your lotus feet.

Your humble servant,
Śravaṇa Kīrtana Dāsa

Dear Śrīla Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept our most respectful obeisances in the dust of your lotus feet on this Divine Appearance Day of yours. All Glories, All Glories to your Holiness.

All Glories, All Glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda, the Founder Ācārya of International Society for Kṛṣṇa Consciousness in whose propagated path you traverse so wonderfully despite the so called physiological constraint you are to experience due to your medical condition.

You are indeed a Mahā Bhāgavata devotee who has transcended all physiological limitations beyond general realm of tolerance. It is our great fortune that we (Śrīvāsa Nimāi Dāsa & Sudhā Rādhikā Devī Dāsī) are your initiated disciples due to Your causeless mercy. Further, it is that very causeless mercy that you have showered upon our daughter Bhaktin Sravya when you took her under your shelter.

There have been many changes in the last 1 year. Śrīvāsa Nimāi Dāsa having resigned the day-to-day job, is serving at ISKCON, Undavalli, Vijayawada temple as a Vice President by the mercy of Your Holiness. Every endeavour is being made to get the disciples of Your Godbrothers to return to the temple fold as Your Holiness desires. Till now, by Your causeless mercy, a few have kindly started responding and participating in the temple activities.

By Your causeless mercy Śrīvāsa Nimāi Dāsa has started delivering Bhagavad-gītā lectures in Telugu (one śloka per day) that is being broadcast daily on both ETV Andhra Pradesh and ETV Telangana channels since mid-February. These channels have a pan Andhra Pradesh & Telangana viewership. Also, some Telugu speaking Indian bodied people living outside these states as well as outside India are watching these episodes.

Sudhā Rādhikā Devī Dāsī is managing the entire household at Hyderabad to facilitate Śrīvāsa Nimāi Dāsa serving at Vijayawada yātrā. Further, by Your Holiness’s mercy Sudhā Rādhikā Devī Dāsī is actively involved in training Children and conducting Nāmahaṭṭas at various places for women (around 3 to 4 days a week).

Bhaktin Śravyā is seriously endeavouring to become a Judge of Indian Judiciary with a prayer at Your lotus feet that she may become one (if the Guru Paramparā wishes) and fulfill the prophecy of Sacīdānanda Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura Mahārāja that someone with tilaka on the forehead will deliver a judgement in the future.

Bhakta Kṛṣṇa Śravaṇa (our son) has left his cricket (despite doing very well) and started focusing on South Indian Mṛdaṅga as he was missing the connect with Lord Kṛṣṇa in that Śrīla Prabhupāda art. He is seriously pursuing devotional music with a desire to please Lord Kṛṣṇa.

It is by Your Holiness’ causeless mercy that we are all able to remain Kṛṣṇa Conscious despite all our frailties. We sincerely pray to Their Ever-Merciful Lordships, Lord Narasiṁhadeva and the Guru Paramparā to give us many, many more years of your vāṇī and vapu association to purify us.

Praying at your lotus feet to bless us to remain Kṛṣṇa Conscious and guide us through your causeless mercy that has kept us on this Kṛṣṇa Conscious path, we remain...

Hare Kṛṣṇa dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept our humble obeisance unto your merciful lotus feet. We wish our beloved Gurudeva a very happy appearance day.

Indeed our life is blessed to have taken shelter unto your most merciful lotus feet.

On this auspicious occasion of your appearance day we seek blessings to continue our devotional service.

We were in the midst of suffering but by your merciful glance we are trying to revive our lost relationship with Kṛṣṇa.

Kindly engage us at service of your good self.

Jaya Gurudeva! Our humble prāṇāṁs at your merciful lotus feet.

Insignificant servants,
Sujoy and Shilpi

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Hare Kṛṣṇa. Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda and his followers. All glories to Your Divine Grace.

Over the years, it is becoming apparent that Your Divine Grace possesses a very strong and powerful faith and conviction that the teachings of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu as presented by Śrīla Prabhupāda, Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura and their predecessors can factually solve all of the problems of material existence.

ISKCON is beginning to sense the importance of faith and conviction, as an essential component of Spiritual practice and propaganda. Therefore, we can see that Your Divine Grace is tirelessly, despite all odds from the material point of view, endeavoring to maintain and expand this movement, in conjunction with your God brothers.

It is often considered that becoming a solo master of a devoted tribe is better than struggling with a disagreeing fraternity in order to fulfill the mission of one’s master, but Your Divine Grace is proving, time and time again, that it is a sign of superior maturity to accept the austerity of cooperation with one’s Spiritual brothers in the service of Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Please bless me to fulfill your instructions and expectations in the service to Your Divine Grace, Śrīla Prabhupāda and the previous ācāryas in the holy abode of Śrī Māyāpur.

Your lowly servant,
Vidvān Gaurāṅga Dāsa

Hare Kṛṣṇa dear devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Guru Mahārāja and Śrīla Prabhupāda!

Dear most Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my respectful obeisances to the dust of your divine lotus feet! All glories to you dear Guru Mahārāja! All glories to your un-breakable service to Guru and Gaurāṅga! All glories to your beloved Śrīla Prabhupāda!

This is a great opportunity to meditate in your wonderful qualities Guru Mahārāja. You are so compassionate and kind with everybody even though towards those that may have criticized you. That shows a lot about your transcendental character. Just like Lord Nityānanda, you don’t discriminate to whom to give your mercy, you are merciful compassionate and kind with everybody!!And therefore I am also the recipient of your causeless mercy and consider myself so fortunate of being under your loving protection.  From the day when you said in front of a crowd that “Victoria has abandoned me”, because as a bhakti I was aspiring to take initiation from another Guru but in my heart when I saw you I knew you were my eternal Spiritual master, and then I was just standing in the middle of your loving devotees when you said that, I felt so humbled and blessed that you cared for me.

Your help during decades manifested in so many ways. I have so many sweet visions of your presence in my life year after year. I’m very grateful to you and Kṛṣṇa for this. How a wretched soul like myself came in touch with such elevated spiritual master, pure loving devotee of the Lord, so connected with Kṛṣṇa, so transcendental to this world, so amazing. This is a mystery to me and I can only understand it as Kṛṣṇa’s and your causeless mercy.

The fact that regardless of your present physical condition you continue being engaged in uninterrupted devotional service saving conditional souls from the clutches of māyā, helping your sons and daughters, inspiring everybody, it shows that you are beyond this material world. Your connection to Kṛṣṇa is so strong and deep that whoever comes in contact with you becomes happy in a transcendental way; just being in your proximity makes everybody feel blissful.

Thank you Thank you Thank you Guru Mahārāja for all your mercy day after day year after year decade after decade, you are always there for me.

From the bottom of my heart I pray to the divine lotus feet of Śrī Śrī Pañca-tattva and Rādhā Mādhava and Lord Narasiṁhadeva and Jagannātha Baladeva and Subhadrā to please cure whatever is not healthy in your body and that your body can become stronger and healthier than ever from now on, so it matches you and your unbreakable strength.

I love you with all my heart and hope and pray that I can become a worthy servant of you.

Begging to remain always under the fabulous shelter of your lotus feet,

Your insignificant servant,
